Kerala shocker! Pregnant lady loses baby as ‘drunk’ CPM neta kicks her in the womb

In a horrific incident, a 30-year-old woman had to undergo a forced abortion after she was kicked in the stomach allegedly by a local Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader at Thamarassery two weeks ago. The woman was four months pregnant at the time of the assault.

The ‘fault’ of the woman, also a mother to a five-year-old son, was that she had tried to intervene in a tussle between her husband and a neighbour at her house. Speaking to Times Now, the woman said that she intervened after she saw her husband getting assaulted by two men, one of whom was a local CPI(M) leader named Thamby. However, she was kicked badly and she started bleeding incessantly. She was rushed to a hospital nearby, where she had to undergo a forced abortion. The family cremated the baby in Mavoor.

One person has been arrested in the case but the main accused is still absconding. The victim’s family has held protests outside a police station to pressurise the cops to nab Thamby.

The lady’s husband, Shibu, said that the family is now under immense pressure from local CPI(M) workers and neighbours to keep the identity of the accused under wraps and withdraw the case. He further said that one of the accused in the case threatened him to chop off his leg.
