NEW DELHI: Days ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic visit to Israel, the Israeli embassy in India posted a video to Twitter with Israeli citizens welcoming PM Modi in Hindi.
PM Modi will travel to Israel on a three-day visit beginning July 4, becoming the first Indian prime minister to step on Israeli soil. The Foreign Ministry officially announced his visit on Wednesday evening.
Late on Wednesday night, the Israeli embassy posted a minute-long video in which various Israeli citizens in Jerusalem welcome PM Modi.
The video has been ‘liked’ over 5,700 times and retweeted over 3,600 times on Twitter.
PM Modi responded Thursday morning with a tweet thanking them in Hindi:
