Prime Minister Narendra Modi today slammed the Congress saying that the party which does not have any internal democracy can’t work for the people. Speaking at a rally in Gujarat’s Surendranagar district the prime minister also said that everyone in the country knows who will win the Congress presidential election. This was his second rally of the day after Bharuch. “Those who have no internal democracy can’t work for people. I want to say to this youngster Shehzad- you have done a brave thing but this is sadly what has always happened in Congress”, he told the crowd.
Slamming the Congress further, the prime minister further said, “A few days ago I said there are 3 polls whose results are certain- UP local polls, Gujarat polls where I said BJP will win and the INC President election where 1 family will win. We saw what happened in UP.”
Praising Maharashtra Congress leader Shehzad Poonawalla who recently raised the question on the procedure to elect the party president, the prime minister said, “A youngster Shehzad has exposed the rigging that is taking place in the Congress president poll. Shehzad is a senior Congress leader in Maharashtra. Congress has tried to muzzle his voice and wants to even remove him from their social media groups. What tolerance is this”
Pointing out on the work done by the BJP Government in the state, the prime minister said, “water scarcity in the region is a history because of BJP. The party has got Narmada waters in the area and helped farmers”.
While stressing that the people of the country are his gods, Narendra Modi said, “125 crore Indians are my Gods and I am serving them”.
Earlier speaking in Bharuch, the prime minister attacked the Congress saying that in order to stay in power the party’s strategy had been to divide people on the lines of caste and community.Speaking about the recent Uttar Pradesh civic polls, Narendra Modi said that the Congress had to suffer defeat in the local body elections as people of the state know them well as also people of Gujarat.
The prime minister also said when there were floods in Banaskantha, leaders of the Congress party were busy saving their leader for Rajya Sabha poll in Bengaluru. He pointed out that the same leader is at the senior position and was unable to work for the successful implementation of Narmada project.
